Szechuan Chef

We've been on a Szechuan style kick lately. Szechuan Chef is in the mall where Big K Mart used to be on 148th.

Way better than Shanghai Garden. Fresh tasting young bamboo with crunchy peanuts, cilantro, and coriander.

Dry cook spicy duck. Hot Pot style. Love that there were so many veggies in there and spicy but not crazy hot. Lots of bean sprouts and inoki mushrooms. Duck on the other hand was very boney and could have been braised longer.

Twice cooked pork. I actually prefer this because the sauce wasn't as thick or heavy. Love the caramel flavor of the soy sauce and leeks.

No pea vines so plain ol' broccoli will do.

Tsingtao of course. But I never do finish my alcohol.

Some stupid Yelper said the portions were smaller and prices went up. The portions we had were huge, even for 3-4 people. They charge for rice but it seems most shanghai type style restaurants do.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the twice cooked pork, you should try the smoked pork next time. It's the same dish except it's smoked. Ask them to go easy on the sauce though; it can get a bit salty.
