Dinner tonight @ Malay Satay

Cashew Chicken. Colorful but I didn't really care for the taste.

Pineapple Fried Rice. Rice was too mushy.

Spicy Seafood Silver Noodle Soup. See the hot chilies, I was sweating from the scalp, it was so spicy.

Grandpa

Grandpa (Mom's dad) passed away this afternoon. She's in L.A. now.
He lived a very long and fruitful life. I was amazed at his energy even at the age of 80, playing tennis, exercising routinely, and his mind was always sharp. Goodbye Ah Gong.

Taro Bubble Shake

So I was craving taro bubble shake. Had it 2x on 2 different days and they didn't make it a frozen shake. It was watery. Hated it. Then I was in Chinatown and mama went into Gossip to get me one. She came out with Taro tea w/ice. 3rd time and it's still watery. All I want is a frozen bubble shake. Is it so hard to make???

On our way home, I was dozing off and when I woke up, Neil was again and Gossip and we finally got our frozen taro bubble shake with extra tapioca. However, at this point, I was so sick of it, I had a few sips and it was all I could drink.

SM3 Review/ Leg Caddy

Good movie. A bit too long for me. Perhaps it was my leg that was bothering me. I was watching SM2 and noticed that the usher was the same guy as the French waiter. Funny.

Topher Grace was ok, still had his 70s Show demeanor to his character.

I enjoyed the drama parts of the movie and the action was good but a lot of CGI. Wish there was a bit more intricate action sequences.

What was I thinking going to an Imax on crutches? I had to walk forever and then spiral down to the Imax screen and by then I was exhausted. I dreaded knowing that I had go the same route after the movie.

This is my new toy, Leg caddy. I put my broken leg on the cushion and wheel myself around. It's got a brake and steering. No shock absorbers. Although the pressure on my knee is atrocious! But it's fun and I should have taken this to the movie with me.

Spider Man 3

I was surfing the net and didn't realize that Seattle is one of 3 cities that has 2 IMAX theaters in one space. Woo Hoo. So that means S3 is playing tonight at 12:00 but I'm not a die hard fan. However, it's playing at 10:45am tomorrow and well...why not?

However, IMAX sucks cuz you can't buy tickets online like moviefone.com. They stop selling tickets online at 6pm for the next day's event and they're having issues with firefox, mac, explorer 7. Ummm...what else is there?

So tomorrow, maybe we'll have a nice breakfast and see a morning movie. Neil's been such a great support during this mess. Everything I ask no matter how many times, he does it. I know how irritating it can be, but it's nice to be able to ask w/out feeling guilty.

I've been adjusting my boot. Nate, it's not all that. Sure, I can take a shower but it's a bitch adjust this because they want my foot to lay completely flat on the boot but my heel keeps riding up. And changing socks is a pain! Some of the scar seeps and gets stuck to the socks and it hurts and bleeds a bit when I take the socks off.

Oh the genious designers of this boot, gotta love them. They have moisture wick. So it pulls sweat away and I've noticed that it pools under the boot and collects on the frame/heel. Yeah, it's gross. You'd be sweating too wearing a plastic and straps wrapped around your feet and leg. I'd be scared to think how nasty it would get if I was in Hawaii in hot humid weather.

So now I get a towel to soak up the moisture at night. It's not like a puddle!

Happy May Day

Had yummy swedish pancakes for Sunday breakfast @ Redmond Pancake House. Yummmy! I got a 3 month handicap parking pass. Nice!
So I took the bandages off. Half of them were falling off and icky and the doc said to pull them off after 4 days and it's been 5! Maybe it could be enhance with a cool tattoo design. Then again, I've always wanted a tattoo and I guess you should be careful what you ask for!

Target Part II

So I was online IMing with Eric and I told him how much I loved shopping at Target and purchased a few pair of shorts. He then asked me if I got the plaid ones! Wait, huh? What? How did he know I bought the plaid ones? Well, it seems he went to Target a week ago and bought the same shorts I did. I thought it was hilarious! And as you can see here, we both wore the same pair today. I sent him a pic on my cell the shorts I wore and he sent back a pic of him wearing the same one and we're both wearing 34!

Me in Mossimo shorts. My belly is getting huge!

Eric in Phoenix wearing the same shorts.

Target

Love Target. I finally decide to get my fat ass back in the gym and I go break my leg. So not only am I getting fat from being bored and stuffing my face, I gotta get new shorts. Thanks to Target, you can get cool shorts for under $20 and some under $10. I remember when Mossimo first lauched and was so excited to get a piece of the collection!

I got 5 pairs of Mossimo cargo shorts and new socks.

Saw Rear Window yesterday afternoon on VOD! Good movie. Started watching French Connection but I fell asleep.

Bored

Max has decided that flipping over for a tummy rub is what he wants.
Teri and Tyler came over for a visit. Poor Tyler's having issues with the birds and plugs his ears when's he comes down the steps. I'm sure he'll phase out of it sooner or later.

Vacancy Movie

It was either Vacancy or Fracture. Neil decided on Vacancy. He asked how can a movie with Luke Wilson be scary? I was wondering that too, and with Kate Beckinsale? But it works. A good B grade flick.

I was checking out my broken leg and noticed that my right calve has shrunk. Did you notice that too Nate?

Cast comes off

I forgot to take my camera into the clinic. They cut off my temporary cast and pull the staples out. Now I'm back into the removable boot. I got the right size but it's still a pain.
Took a long hot bath and scrubbed as much dead skin as gently as possible. The Ortho doc said my healing looked great. No pus or leakage and the x-rays looked good.
Some temporary butterfly tapes. I still can't put any weight on my leg for a month. In 2 weeks, I'll start rehab.

American Idol

After watching tonight's episode, I think Jordan Sparks should win. Melinda runner up.

I predict LaKisha is going home first, then Phil, then Chris, and then Blake.

Max on Max

Max hanging out with himself.

Disturbia

Shia LeBeouf is in a lot of movies this year. I thought this homage to Rear Window was really good. Suspense, thriller, unexpected, and fun.
The last 1/4 wasn't in line with the rest of the movie but still a good matinee.

Turistas - Unrated version

Neil picked this one out. It was okay. Definitely a rental. Josh Duhamel was in it, I guess he was good as eye candy but that was about it. Kinda like Hostel, Saw, The Cave, Hills have eyes all in one.

The one movie I wouldn't mind seeing is Disturbia.

We're about to take off and have dinner at Mandarin Palace for Ivy's birthday which was on Friday. Now where's Neil to take me?

Who gets to call it Art?

Comcast has VOD (Video on Demand) and I was watching this historical documentary on Henry Geldzahler. If you get a chance to watch this, do so. He's an amazing art curator for MOMA and brought forth POP ART into the mainstream and befriended almost every known artist of the late 20th century.

4-20

Man...i can sympathize with morning sickness. I can't explain it but I' ve been extremely nauseous these past few mornings. Dry heaving and at time major diarrhea. I've been using 2 prescribed anti-nausea pills and patch to keep me even keel. Not sure if anyone else has had as much issues with breaking their leg causing upset stomach, headache, diarrhea, and nausea!

You'd think I'd be losing massive amounts of weight, but no!

Oh the interesting side. check out this new candle line...
www.daynadecker.com

Totally awesome. Got a few testers from them and the glass is killer cool and the wood wick crackles like a fire log.

Have a good weekend! I go in next Thursday to check up on my fracture. I'm so ready for it to come off. I have till Thursday to decide if I should get a fiberglass permanent cast or a removable boot. The permanent cast would be more light weight but the boot would allow me to shower without all the hassle of bagging it. Any thought?

drunk tweeker

Neil was in the kitchen when he saw a shadow in the front door. Unfortunately, the front door is frosted so we can't really see out or in. He heard a quiet knock and opened the front door to see a tall skinny white kid looking all drunk and tweaked out. Neil screamed at him to get the fuck out and slammed the door shut and called 911. They came to check out the neighborhood.

Maybe he was trying to break in and was surprised that Neil opened the door and he took off. Who knows. But I gotta tell you, I'm ready for this week to be over!

I saw The pursuit of Happyness. It was ok. I've watched a whole week of Regis and Kelly. Pat Sajak was the co-host as Regis is out recovering from surgery. Pat's kinda funny. Then I watched Rosie banter with Elizabeth on The View.

My novacaine has worn off and yes, my leg is now in pain. I finally gave in and took some vicodin with lots of food and water.

I have to tell you. Don't break a leg. It's a bitch getting in and out of the tub to shower. I got a chair for the tub but it's now even more of a pain to maneuver my way in and sit down.

And lets talk about trying to put on underwear and pants. I have to get myself on the floor, lay on my butt, throw my legs up and try to put on one leg at a time. But the problem is I can't move my broken leg so it's like trying to lasso my leg w/ my underwear.

Right now, I'm taking the advice of the nurse by icing the area under my knee. She says it helps w/ the swelling and the itchiness.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Screw Me!

Went into surgery this afternoon. As I was filling out the paperwork, I saw that they noted that the surgery was to be done on my left ankle. Ummm, Hello......I broke my RIGHT ankle. So I went up to the counter and told the receptionist that I already had this conversation the previous day and corrected her that it was my RIGHT and not LEFT leg. So the receptionist says to me, so you're not having surgery on your left leg? So I stuck up my right foot at her in the air and said, "its my right leg" The leg that's in the cast!

The anethesiologist and surgeon were top notch. I told them I wanted to be knocked out. I don't want to be awake for 2 hours listening to them cut me open, reset my bones, and hear screws going into my bones. No thank you!

So 2 hours later, I'm all numb and in a smaller cast and feeling good.

Sure this is old. Some of you may have played it. But it's mindless and it keeps the clock ticking while I sit at home bored shitless.

Lady M Confections

Oh, I can't wait to head back to NYC and try this cake boutique on the Upper East Side. Lady M Confections.

I love crepes and this is a 20 layer crepe cake. mmmmmmmmmmmmm!

oxycodon

Never take oxycodon unless you want to be constipated. Eat lots of veggies or fiber tabs. Having been doped up on it for 2 days, I ended up with bloating, nausea, and massive headaches. The headaches were obvious from no coffee for 3 days.

I went to the ER and they took x-rays of my bowels and the ER doctor said my bowels were pretty much blocked. My nausea was from the meds so I'm only taking tylenol.
She gave me some oral liquid laxative that taste like concentrated sour patch kids candy. SOUR!

So today, I've been sitting on the potty clearing my bowels and I had coffee. Yeah! No more headaches, and tummy is better. Ate some toast and jam.

But this removable cast is so heavy, it's like carrying 40 lbs of weight on a broken foot. Who's stupid idea was that?

Monday, April 09, 2007

Ankle update

Saw the Ortho guy today. Ended up throwing up to and from the appt in the car. Motion sickness or too much Oxycodon?

Going in for an outpatient surgery to put in pins to hold my bones and repair the ligament. It's something the doctors say they see in a lot of sports injury.

I'll be out of commission for 3-6 months.

Back to sleep! All these meds are making me pass out.

Happy Easter/ Broken ankle

Happy Easter! It's been a rough spring. 2 employees quit which ended up being a very positive experience.

This morning, I went into work early and I've always been concerned that one day I'll fall off the ladder and well, today was the day. The new hardwood floor we installed has a thick varnish layer that can be very slippery. As I was going up the ladder I realized it wasn't locked into place and found myself desperately trying to grab onto the ledge as I was falling with the ladder. The height was only about 10 feet and I landed ok on my left foot but as I landed on my right foot, it got stuck between the rungs and the ladder fell on top of my foot. By the way I was laying on the floor and how my right foot was at a grotesque angle, I knew I broke it. I was panicking and tried to get up but once I stood up, the pain was so intense I screamed and fell back down. I hurried crawled to the phone and quickly got up on my left foot and fell back down on the floor to call Neil and 911 right way. 911 arrived in less than 5 minutes. While waiting, I was laughing that I was the lady in the commercial, "I've fallen and I can't get up!"

I realized that I had locked the door behind me and had to crawl across the store with my right broken angle up in the air jutting out 90 degrees up and away from my body. Once I had the door open, I crawled back behind a table to hide myself from passer-bys. I didn't want them to see me on the floor as I knew the Fire Dept was on their way.

Once the Fire Dept arrived, the put me in a splint and cut my shoes off. The pain was excrutiating and throbbing at this point. The took me to Swedish in Ballard and there, they cut off my jeans. I was thinking, Fuck!...there goes a few hundred bucks!

I concentrated on breathing and tryingto relax through the pain and they gave me dilauded. The pain instanted subsided and became more dull than sharp. The attending told me to was going to pull my ankle and snap it back into place. Despite the pain meds, I felt everything.

A few x-rays and hours later, Both the tibia and fibula were fractured and broken in a few places near the foot. No bones in the ankle or foot looked broken. I'm going to an orthopedic specialist tomorrow for a consult where they'll suggest I either put the leg in a cast or have surgery to put some pins in.

In the meantime, the dilauded made me extremely groggy and I was going in and out of consciousness. I'm now at home on oxycodon with my leg elevated upon my heart and I' ve been told I'd be out of comission for at least a week. The cast might be 6 months.

I've also realized that crutches are not very useful and can be extremely challenging. It's so hard to use especially going up or down the stairs.

Sleep Apnea

Neil spent last night at Virginia Mason's Sleep Center to evaluate his sleep apnea. It seems he stops breathing every few minutes. Pretty scary. His 02 saturation dropped down to 70%! When they put him on the CPAP, he didn't have an episode and slept through the whole night.
Unfortunately, this is what you'll have to stick on your head every night. I tried it on, it's quite plush and comfy on the head, not tight or binding. The plastic nose hose is quite soft and silicon like. I think it took the scientist a lot of trials to get it right.

The only problem now is what to do with Max. He sleeps on Neil's head but lately he's been sleeping on my chest under the covers. He loves chewing on plastic and I'm not sure if we're that keen on having him chew through the respirator mask ($150) each night as a toy.

Blades of Glory

Caught an afternoon matinee with Hiram and Neil to see Blades of Glory. It was hilarious! John Heder was a lot better than I had expected. Even though Will Farrell was funny, it was typical Will.

Neil receiving his gift from Dan Clan.

Really good oysters.

Neil and Hiram chillin'.

Oh Wow! Thank you Dan Clan!

Lilies for Neil's birthday! This pose is an homage to mama! For those of you with Chinese moms, you know how they love to pose next to big floral bouqettes!

Duck Couple

Every year for the past 3 years, this couple comes to this puddle of dirty water across from our office to rest. They stay for a few weeks and go to wherever it is that ducks go to in the Spring time. The puddle starts to dry up and they're usually gone by the time it's completely dry.
We see them every morning on our way to work and sometimes basking in the sun (when it's sunny) and feeding them is fun. They're very friendly but cautious. I do hate the crows that swoop down to steal their treats!

Mohawk

dude....I'm at the point I hope he wins because it would be a riot! I look fwd to his new hair do every week! Watched Inferno Affairs last night at Danny's. I kind fell asleep in the beginning but I think the suspense of The Departed was a much better movie. I did enjoy the original.
Had awesome HOT POT at Danny's w/ Hiram. I'm sure Hiram will post the huge ass crab picture.
I waited till 11:15pm before heading out to the airport. Of course, I left my cell at home in the morning. I left a message for Neil that I'd be picking him up outside on Danny's cell. The call and text message never went through. Your service at your house sucks ass!
So I drove around the airport for 45 minutes, stop the car, ran inside avoiding the cops, and no Neil. The lady said the flight had cleared out a long time ago. I'm assuming he took the cab home. I sped home to find 9 missed calls from Neil. I call him back and he's been in line talking to Alaska Airline for losing his luggage. So I sped back to the airport to pick him up. Well, it's 1am by then and I was exhausted.
This is the first time in years that we ever lost a luggage flying Alaska.

Sanjaya & American Idol

So we were lucky to get a GPS in our rental in Boston. However, I have to say that it sucks sometimes. We punched in Logan Airport from Downtown Boston which should take us literally 15 minutes. It took us 45 minutes because it took us in circles and deadends! I finally screamed at Neil to stop listening to it and we pulled out the a MAP and it still lead us to deadends!

So back to American Idol. We also had satellite radio, SERIUS. Umm...Howard Stern for 5 days! It seems there's a strong community of Sanjaya supporters who are keeping him in not because they think he's talented or should win, but because it's funny to jolt the voting system of AI! Hence, Howard has people on his crew and callers voting 100s of times for Sanjaya! So in a way, I can't believe it hasn't been done before.
It would be totally hilarious if Sanjaya won AI. After all, it is the American voters who pick the winner!

Boston

Had a nice time in Boston. Hung out with Neil's family in Holyoke. Shopped a bit in North Hampton. Spend a day and half in dowtown Boston. There's a real cool street there, Newbury. It's the equivalent of Robson in BC and/or Melrose in LA. Great shops on both sides. Marc Jacobs, FCUK, G-Star, Louis Boston! I wish Broadway turned out this way instead of the slum it's become.

And it's nice to see Christine again. Too bad Ari wasn't available to join us. Christine says we've visited her more than her parents!!! We had a nice Italian dinner in Little Italy, Dolce Vita.

When we were in North Hampton, we went to Joe's. It's an authetic "Bucca de Beppo". It's been around for 50 years and it's basically a shack with cracks and cervices that let in the winter cold air! Watch where you're seated! But man, the mushroom salad, pizza, and the DAMN best CANNOLI I've ever had and I don't like cannolis at all!

Check out the Flickr pics! The Hilton Boston Back Bay was really clean, nice, and convenient! We took a tourist trolley ride which was fun and very educational. We got to see where they filmed some of THE DEPARTED scenes. The FBI bldg was actually the Unemployment Center.

The Gardner museum was really the highlight of the visit. Isabella Gardner amassed an amazing assortment of art from Raphael to Vermeer, Asian pieces to Russian tapestry. It's all set up in room that mix and match and everything is in touching and reaching distance but you can't take pictures or touch. But man, it was just amazing to see it and just the night before, we watched the History Channel's episode of the stolen art from the museum. Coincidence? I think not!

Neil's Bday is March 27th (Tues). He's coming back from LA that night. Any suggestions where to take him? Surprise him?

I'm excited to see Hiram. Wish Lynne was coming up too!

Shooter

Saw Shooter tonight w/ Lan. She brought over dinner. Nice! So I thought it would be nice to return the favor and take her to a movie, but she had passes so double nice! Good action flick and Mark Wahlberg shines again. He's done a good job at picking movies that suites his style.
Lots of action, good plot, great supporting cast, and lots of SHOOTING!

Winter...here we come again!

I'm looking outside the window and it's relatively mild for a Seattle afternoon. It's partly sunny, partly cloudy, and greige. I'm also sick. My allergies seem to turn into a cold/flu quite rapidly over a few days. I've never had congestion this miserable. And it seems every year, it gets relatively worse. I'm tempted to live in a plastic bubble.

Anyway, we're off to Boston tomorrow morning and it seems the weather back East is miserable. Snow!

Can I use the excuse that I'm terribly sick and not fly? It really doesn't help that I can't even sleep at night. Every time I try to lay down, my sinus fill up and I'm plugged up. Try breathing through your mouth for a week. Your lips become very cracked and unsightly.

And not to mention I might as well be a METH head. With all the Sudafed I've been eating like candy, my heart will probably seize!

Ok...enough misery. Go rent "The Holiday" w/ Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. cute.

Pineapple Express = movie time

What do you do when the Pineapple Express drops sheets of warm water on the city for an entire weekend? Stay inside and watch movies of course.
We went to see this Korean film on Saturday afternoon. I thought it was great! Neil didn't like it at all. For a foreign film, the CGI effects were, well..not so impressive. The creature itself was passable. The fire effects not so much. But that's besides the point. What I thought was going to be a creature/horror film ended up being a satire that was funny, had a strong ecological message, and social values. It's like watching a funny chinese movie that I'm sure when subtitled to English and shown in the US, becomes "lost in translation".

I've read a lot of reviews for this movie before deciding to watch it. It's awesome in the sense that it's intended to be viewed on the big screen preferably on IMAX, and keep in mind, no historical value! To those movie critics out there who chooses to critique this movie base on it's historical value, GIVE ME A BREAK! The day you can actually make us believe that anyone of you know history, no less Spartan history, without having to research it, I'll give 2 cents to your review.

On Sunday, it was on to 300. This movie rocks because it's an action flick intended to entertain and it does it's job to the very end. There's some similarities to Troy, Gladiator, and Alexander. Alexander sucked ass, Troy was just OK, Gladiator had a great actor and a good story, and 300 was just plain entertaining! Go see it for it's artistic merit. It's like watching a comic book come alive!

And well...the Spartans were HOT!

Updates

I've slept through the last 2 episodes of LOST. I've been so exhausted everyday, that come around 9ish, I'm dozing off. Is no one else watching American Idol? Are we gonna have a pool once the final 12 are set?

Speaking of online...I put up 3 handbags from my store that had duplicates. I put them up for a tad under my wholesale cost and 1 just a tad over. Can I tell you how much I despise the majority of eBayers! The endless barage of questions and you know..you know...you know...that after politely answering all their mundane questions, they say, "Oh I don't know!" "Oh I'm just not sure!" And bam...out comes someone from nowhere with no questions and buys it! Woo Hoo! This one stupid idiot woman had 3 questions for me. Her second question was if my bag was real b/c she was going to give it as a gift. Then her last question was, " I don't need another bag, but if you knock it down $50 and pay for shipping, I'll consider it and it's your call. Oh and if you have new Spring goods, I'll consider buying it at the same offer!" Are you f****ing out of your mind?! I was going to blast her then I realize I was just going to ignore it. It's the same thing working in the store, I just walk away from the person when it gets to be that retarded. My god!!! Do they pull that same shit in department stores?!

I am excited to say that all 3 bags were sold in under 1 hour and 1 went to Japan! Of course, it was the "kookiest" one! If only I can get top $$$ at full retail for them!

We're off to Boston next weekend for St. Patrick's Day. Neil's family is having a reunion and I got wrangled in to go! I can't believe we're flying again so soon.

American Idol

I really liked Paula during the auditions. She was honest, kinda funny, and a lot more real and brutal. Now, we see her stupid ol' self giving praise to these select few who don't deserve it, especially when they sing like crap. Instead of commenting on their vocals, she resorts to their presence or whatever else she wants to focus on to avoid the fac that it's a singing contest!
Fire her ass and put someone else on!

Ah hey wait...3 contestants to make the top 24 are from Seattle...So as much suckass as the show was in Seattle, they chose 3 of them. One is already voted off, I think Sanyaya is going tomorrow, he's too weak yesterday, and I guess people like Blake.

Gobo with Christine and Ari

We met up with Christine and Ari @ Gobo on Monday 19th 2007. It was good to see Christine after a few years and to finally meet Ari. Food was good and Lauran and Neil's dad and Arlene met up with us.

Christine and Ari

NYC in Feb 2007

I really enjoyed this recent trip to NYC. Not that I enjoyed the 20s freezing wind, but we had a day to enjoy the city with Lauran, and Neil's dad, Arlene, and showed Ben the city. Lots of good food, sight seeing, and the coolest part was a visit to Jeff Koons studio. For those of you who don't know who Jeff Koons is, google him.

Neil and I in front of one of Jeff's paintings. It's so realistic and 3D! But it's a painting.
You have to really see this in person to appreciate how big this painting is and not to mention how intense the colors are.

Happy Chinese New Year

The Bellagio's garden theme was "Happy Chinese New Year!" The children were all made out of flowers. Real bamboo was landscaped throughout the garden reaching over 40 feet. The red lanterns were so red and intense! The best feature was the pig with moving ears and nose.

Happy New Year to everyone! Good luck, Good health, much prosperity, and love to all!

Back in town for 1 day

We're back in Seattle for Saturday. Got in at 2am and leave for NYC at 2pm. I feel like I'm on Amazing Race. Each group gets a mandatory 12 hour rest break, the first group to arrive, John and Neil at 2am leaves for NYC at 2pm!!!

I missed LOST, didn't watch Grey's Anatomy. Another week is gonna fly by and I'll miss another week of shows! Now's the time I wish they were all on re-run!!!

We spent Valentine's with a group of 8 eating Chinese. 3 of our friends left their husbands at home w/ the kids. Neil's cousin left her man at home. And only 2 couples. Didn't do anything special except work our asses off and had a good meal!

Although the previous day, we took some friends, to StripSteak. Ummmm, $195 for 6 oz Kobe beef. Needless to say, no one got it because no one was gonna fork the bill for that!

Check out the flickr pics. I'm too lazy... Actually, I %$$$#@# exhausted.

I did find out that some casinos still let you play with quarters! :) :)

Doing laundry and repacking for freezing ass cold weather. Not that Vegas was that warm :(

Happy Chinese new year! :)

Did Nathan recommend this? Or was it on your blog somewhere??? who knows... I guess a documentary on Crossword Puzzles can't be all that thrilling regardless of the background music you throw in. We ended up turning it off.

Lotus of Siam

So Food Network TV and a bunch of people in Vegas says that this Thai restaurant is the best evahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Since we're heading back to Vegas in the next few days, we'll make a stop and see if it really is all that!

So nice to leave Vegas. Our original flight was scheduled for 10:48pm but we caught the 4:20pm. So much has changed since our last trip back in August. I guess ALL the strip casinos have decided that our quarters was too ghetto because all the slots for coins have been sealed shut. If you want to play the slot machines, you'll have to use BILLS! WTF!

I wasn't feeling so hot and I never do in Vegas. The crappy beds, the recycled air, and it was damn cold! 30s! This afternoon, I had rice congee soup from Noodle House in Mandalay Bay. Better than the ones here in Chinatown!

We have a lot of shoes and I think I'll flickr it so all of you can see and comment on them. Some good guys also!
