Neil drove by Bamboo Grill which is on the corner of Boren/Jackson NE section. I told him I was craving that porkchop rice and fried egg that I saw on Sunday when we went to have that crab soup.
Speaking of which, the crap soup wasn't even that good.
So back to the chops. It was around 6 and we were the only one there besides this other lady. I order the porkchops w/ egg and shrimp on sugar cane. What I got was grilled spareribs. Oh well.
The whole dinner included a bowl of pho soup was $7.95. Flavor was decent but I wanted porkchops, not ribs.
Would i go back, probably not since there wasn't anything outstanding about the service or food.

neil turns 39th
Happy Birthday Neil! I've been a mess since Wed with the stomach flu throwing up and shooting out the other end and had to visit the ER once again to get hydrated and some pills to help me from throwing up more. Thank science for ZOFRAN!
Tonight we took Neil to Capital Grille and had a wonderful evening with The Village, Teri (sad that boy T and the kids couldn't make it) and Mama. Yummy food, great company, great service, and desserts!
We called Hiram when the doli stoli cames :)

scratch
Been so busy with work and allergies. Yes, my allergies are a full time job this spring :( I finally went to see my doctor and got Beconase AQ and it's been amazing how it works so well. Now an additional eyedrops, 12 hr sudafed, inhaler, and lots of liquids.
Went down to LA for 6 hours to do some quick shopping for the store and stupid me, I forgot my meds and ended up taking benadryl on the plane and for the next 12 hours, I was a walking zombie.
Anyway, I've finally been able to get my allergies back under manageable control.

grape hyacinth
Spring is here and my allergies are in full force crazy! Went out to the yard and found that these grape hyacith have popped up everywhere. They are one of my favorite bulbs. So pretty and smelly. They're easy to plant, they don't have any maintenance and die back to the ground in the summer and come next spring, they're everywhere!
